Terms of Service for Korq Planner

This Terms of Service ("Terms") governs your use of Korq Planner ("the App"), developed by Korq. By accessing or using the App, you agree to these legally binding terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using Korq Planner, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction).
  • You agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
  • If using on behalf of an organization, you have authority to bind that entity.

Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.

2. Service Description

Korq Planner provides:

  • Core Features: Task/goal management, reminders, and local data storage (free tier).
  • Korq Pro Features: Optional account-based cloud sync and backup, subscription-gated features, AI task structuring ("kō"), and integrations when available.

The App is offered "as-is" without guarantees of uninterrupted service.

3. User Responsibilities

3.1 Account Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining device security.
  • If you create a Korq account, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at security@korq.io of unauthorized access.

3.2 Prohibited Uses

You may not:

  • Reverse-engineer or modify the App's source code.
  • Use the App for illegal activities or harassment.
  • Overload infrastructure via automated requests.

4. Intellectual Property

  • Your Data: You retain ownership of tasks, goals, notes, attachments, and other content you create in the App. If you enable account or cloud features, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process that data solely to provide App functionality, backup, sync, subscription entitlement checks, and requested integrations.
  • Our Rights: The App's design, code, and branding remain our exclusive property. Third-party integrations are subject to their respective licenses.

5. Subscriptions (Korq Pro)

5.1 Payment

  • Korq Pro subscriptions are purchased through Apple App Store, Google Play, or another payment provider shown at checkout.
  • Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • Automatic renewal unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal.
  • Canceling your subscription stops future renewal but does not automatically delete your Korq account or local data.

5.2 Cloud Sync

  • Cloud sync is optional and available only for signed-in Korq Pro users.
  • Cloud sync content is encrypted before upload and transmitted over encrypted connections. You are responsible for keeping your account and devices secure.
  • Cloud sync depends on third-party infrastructure and network availability. We work to keep it reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted sync or backup availability.
  • You assume full risk for content you choose to share, export, attach, or send through integrations.

6. Disclaimers

6.1 Service Availability

  • Local data may be irretrievable if devices are damaged/lost without cloud backup.
  • We don't guarantee compatibility with all third-party services.

6.2 AI Services

  • "kō" AI suggestions are experimental and may be inaccurate. Never rely solely on AI outputs for critical decisions.

7. Liability Limitations

Our total liability is capped at the greater of:

  • €50, or
  • 12 months of Korq Pro subscription fees paid.

Exclusions apply for:

  • Data loss from local-only usage.
  • Third-party integration issues.

8. Termination

  • You may delete your account via Settings > Account. Local data will be permanently erased.
  • We reserve the right to suspend accounts violating these Terms.

9. Modifications

We may update these Terms or App features with 30 days' notice via in-App alerts. Continued use implies acceptance.

10. Governing Law

Disputes will be resolved under Irish law. EU users retain GDPR complaint rights with the Data Protection Commission.
